Meet the Crapo family...does this pretty lady look familiar to any of you? She's the creative genius behind one of my favorite blogs, Running with Scissors! I was so excited to meet Jessica and family, and they definitely did not disappoint! These sweet little ones are so lucky to have her as a mom. She made most of the clothing and accessories they were sporting for this fun session, including her own skirt, blouse, and jewelry! Not sure about the cardigan. ;-) Oh, and don't forget Ellie's adorable dress!
One thing that impressed me about Jessica and Rhett was their ability to just roll with the punches. If you've ever had a professional family portrait session with young children, you KNOW it's exhausting, frustrating, and often disappointing. As a mom, I've been there, done that. As a photographer, it is really easy to let that frustration rub off, making the entire situation worse.
That's why it was so impressive to me when these guys were able to just relax, let the kids be wild and crazy, grumpy and shy, or whatever they were feeling at the moment. And while a lot of the photos we got were somewhat "candid", they are some of my favorites!
