Love That Shot and Other Challenges

I stumbled on a fun new photography blog today that holds monthly challenges. I love photography contests....it's so fun to see how everyone interprets the themes. The theme for this month at Love That Shot is All in the Details. I entered this fun shot from Zoe's session last week.

Another fun new photography link-up is over at Tracy's Trinkets and Treasures. Her current link-up theme is portraits, so I thought I'd share this little lovely you may remember:

I've also submitted this portrait of my Brianna to Pioneer Woman's current photography contest with the theme "Beautiful." I'll admit it, I may be biased. :-)

You probably know from previous posts and the button on my sidebar that I have been participating in Project 52. This week the theme is "Lights and Darks" and this is my first submission for this week (I'm allowed three, so if I find time I may do more.)

Hope you enjoyed seeing the crazy stuff I do online. If you like taking pictures (even just for fun) take a look at some of these blogs and participate in their challenges...It really brings out your creativity!

Zoe

Today I had the pleasure of taking some birthday pictures of Miss Zoe, who turned 2! I had my work cut out for me this time; Zoe did not want to have anything to do with me or my camera. :-) We still managed to get some sweet photos of Zoe, and I hope her mom and dad like them. One thing is certain, Zoe has a crazy cool boot collection, and she sure is loved by her mama! Thanks for letting me share your special day!

And just for fun...

Brianna, Opinions, and Project 52

I've decided to take Brianna's 9-month photo shoot in stages. A few shots here and a few shots there may lead to a happier baby, and a much happier mama! These are the first photos we've taken in a long time (bad mama!) and I only got about five minutes before time was up.

Here's where I need you. Tell me what you think about this particular backdrop. Too bright? Too pink? Perfect? Do you love bright bold colors or are you more interested in muted tones?

I've decided this photo (below) will be my entry for this week into the Project 52 Challenge. The theme for this week is "Express Yourself", which is wide open to interpretation. But I'm completely enamored these days with my little lady and the ways she expresses herself to us, without words.

Here are some black and white versions to help you decide. Are your eyes stinging from the pink? :-) I'd love to hear what you think! Happy Friday!
