Grandma Mac {Blackfoot Portrait Photography}

A couple of months ago, my grandma was visiting my parents for a few weeks. Since she has lived in Utah for the past 16 years or so, we haven't been able to see her as often as we would like, so her visits are always welcomed. We grew up with Grandma and Grandpa Mac living just down the road from us, and we were usually given free reign to walk down for a visit anytime we wanted. After Grandpa passed away, Grandma moved to Utah where all of her daughters had ended up with their families.

My grandma is one of the neatest ladies I know. The stories she tells us about her childhood and her early married years are so fun to hear. She has now served at least five missions for our church (Family, correct me if I'm missing any!), including one foreign mission to England! It was wonderful to take a few minutes to get some new portraits of her. When we were getting ready, I asked if she had a favorite color (yes, I realize how bad it was that I didn't already know!) and I was surprised to hear that it is pink! So I pulled out my best pink backdrop and we got busy. :-) I have to say, the best part of the whole thing was getting everyone to convince Grandma to smile! The best images are the ones with my parents behind me or to the side, making complete nerds of themselves to get Grandma laughing. ;-)

The day we did this session, Grandma's brother, Elsdon, and his wife, Nita, happened to be visiting. We bullied them into sitting for a few shots as well. ;-) Aren't they wonderful?
