Bridger Timothy {Idaho Falls Newborn Photography}

 Meet Bridger...almost 9 pounds of sweet, lovely baby. Bridger came for his very first portrait session at just 9 days old. We had to work extra hard to get this little man to sleep, but it was worth every minute! I love his sweet little cheeks and his perfectly rounded nose. :-) Here's a peek for his fans!

Fall Family Portrait Special

We're entering the busiest time of year for photography. Fall is by far the most preferred time of year for portraits, whether they are family, back-to-school, high school Seniors, or whatever. Why is it so common? From the client's perspective, the air is finally cooling down, the busy summer has ended with the start of school, and many are starting to think about Christmas (eek!) and having the best cards/family letters/gifts for grandparents, etc. From the photographer's point of view? The light at this time of year cannot be beat! It has a beautiful, soft, golden feel that always amounts to the most gorgeous images. And no, the cooler temperature don't hurt. :-)

So if you have been thinking about doing family portraits, now is a great time to book a session. Not only will you enjoy all of the benefits listed above, but if you get your session scheduled for now through October 15, I'm going to give you a free 16x20 canvas print of your favorite image. Seriously!
Are you familiar with canvas prints? If not, you should definitely check them out. Canvas prints are just that...images printed on high-quality canvas fabric, then stretched onto a sturdy wooden frame. The image wraps around the sides of the canvas, making it continue around the edges. Oh, and don't forget, with a canvas print you don't have to pay an arm and a leg for a nice frame. It is a super high-quality method of showcasing your images, and is actually how art is often displayed in art galleries!

Unfortunately, this quality comes at a cost. Many people (myself included), have always wanted to have their images printed on canvas, but they cannot justify the cost. Well, now you can. :-) Not only will you get a fun, easy-going family portrait session, a feature on the blog that you can share with all your family and friends, and a CD of edited images with a full copyright release, but you are also going to get a 16x20 canvas of your favorite image. How can you pass that up??

Wait, that isn't enough to convince you? Well, how about this...if you refer us to all your friends and family, you will get a 25% discount when they book a session! Yes, you'll get 25% off for EACH referral that completes a session (up to 4), which means that you could potentially get your session for FREE, along with the free canvas. So what are you waiting for? Start sharing with all your friends and family!

Our available sessions will fill up fast, so contact us now to schedule your session! We can do it anytime between now and October 15 to get the special, but once we're full...we're full! Call or text to 208.569.8385. You can also email us at KandiceMcDermottPhotography@ymail.com or send us a message on Facebook. Looking forward to hearing from you so we can start planning your session!

Don't forget to check out our current special for high school Seniors! It's hard to find a Senior session this cheap, so snag it while you can. If you're not a Senior but you know someone who is, share it so they can take advantage!

Senior Special!

The time is here, and school is starting again. With it comes a brand new graduating class....the Class of 2013! Senior portraits are a unique opportunity to capture the personality of each graduating senior. At this age, you are young and carefree and much more likely to let your individuality shine through.

Because senior sessions are generally very labor intensive, with multiple locations, themes, costume changes, etc, they are also usually very expensive. Don't miss this opportunity to document this exciting time in your life for a really great deal!

 Living in Idaho makes outdoor portraiture tricky. Even though we're still melting, in just a few short weeks we'll probably be freezing! Let's beat the weather...If you schedule a session before October 15, you will get the entire session, including a cd with copyright release, for just $150! Call, text, email, or send us a message on Facebook today to reserve your session time.

Grandma Mac {Blackfoot Portrait Photography}

A couple of months ago, my grandma was visiting my parents for a few weeks. Since she has lived in Utah for the past 16 years or so, we haven't been able to see her as often as we would like, so her visits are always welcomed. We grew up with Grandma and Grandpa Mac living just down the road from us, and we were usually given free reign to walk down for a visit anytime we wanted. After Grandpa passed away, Grandma moved to Utah where all of her daughters had ended up with their families.

My grandma is one of the neatest ladies I know. The stories she tells us about her childhood and her early married years are so fun to hear. She has now served at least five missions for our church (Family, correct me if I'm missing any!), including one foreign mission to England! It was wonderful to take a few minutes to get some new portraits of her. When we were getting ready, I asked if she had a favorite color (yes, I realize how bad it was that I didn't already know!) and I was surprised to hear that it is pink! So I pulled out my best pink backdrop and we got busy. :-) I have to say, the best part of the whole thing was getting everyone to convince Grandma to smile! The best images are the ones with my parents behind me or to the side, making complete nerds of themselves to get Grandma laughing. ;-)

The day we did this session, Grandma's brother, Elsdon, and his wife, Nita, happened to be visiting. We bullied them into sitting for a few shots as well. ;-) Aren't they wonderful?

Kaili {Idaho Falls Maternity Photography}

It was so sweet to get together again with Kaili and Justin just as they were getting ready for their new addition! We met fairly late in the evening and had to work fast before we lost our light, but we got some really sweet images. Now I get to prepare for the little man's debut in front of my camera! :-) Happy Monday!
